okays..another riddle for you guys

a friend gave this to me

and i need you guys to help me with this.
here's the situation.

you owe you mum and dad 25$ EACH.

so you owe your parents 50$.

now, with that 50$, you bought a shirt/dress worth 45$.

so you're left with 5$.

with that 5$, you paid you mum 1$ and your dad 1$.

so now you owe them 48$

and you are left with 3$.

now plus 48$ + 3$.

you will get 51$.

where did the 1$ come from?
